Maharashtra’s two sugar mills receive full sets of Case IH and New Holland Agriculture equipment
Multiple sets of sugarcane harvesting equipment manufactured by CNH Industrial under its brands Case IH and New Holland Agriculture were delivered to Manjra Sugar group, Latur and Jai Hind Sugars, Solapur

Leading sugar mills in Maharashtra are increasing their productivity and profitability thanks to their investment in new Case IH and New Holland Agriculture machinery from CNH Industrial.

While large gatherings have been avoided due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Manjra Sugar, Latur and Jai Hind Sugars, Solapur, both held modest functions recently to celebrate the delivery of their new tractors and sugarcane harvesters.

Manjra Sugars and Jai Hind Sugar have been associated with CNH Industrial since 2011 and 2018 respectively. Both these mills are frontrunners when it comes to investing in modern mechanised cane farming solutions and technologies.

Sandeep Gupta, Business Head for Crop Solutions, CNH Industrial, is confident that the sugar mills’ investments will pay off.

“Case IH is the pioneer and market leader in India with hundreds of sugarcane harvesting machines in operation,” he said. “Case IH and New Holland Agriculture have been instrumental in providing mechanised end-to-end solutions for sugarcane farming since last decade.”

“Our machines work with precision, speed and with high fuel efficiency thereby reducing the cost of harvesting which results in more profits to the farmers and more sugar output for the sugar mills.

“Each day we strive to provide unmatched quality and reliability through our world class technology and equipment to the farmers.”

Case IH Austoft 4000 Series cane harvesters, now manufactured at CNH Industrial’s Pune facility, are specifically designed for Indian conditions, operating across states in a range of field conditions.

The Austoft 4000 is a compact machine designed specifically to streamline the harvesting process in sugarcane fields that use row-to-row spacing of four feet and above.

“One of its major advantages is that the machine harvests the cane flush at ground level,” Gupta said. “By harvesting the bottom node, we get a better ratoon and avoid the additional operation of stubble shaving, which is carried out after manual harvesting.”

“Also, harvesting the sugar-rich bottom node of the cane means maximising the sugar content, which results in high sugar recovery at the sugar mills.

“The latest AntiVortex™ Technology provides maximum cleaning to the harvested billet cane, which further improves processing.”

New Holland Agriculture offers a technologically advanced range of tractors and a complete range of farm equipment for everything from land preparation to harvesting and for post harvesting processes, including tillage equipment, planters, sprayers and harvesters, as well as crop residue collection, densification and handling equipment.

“New Holland tractors, equipped with the latest technology, powerful and fuel-efficient engines, have become the first choice for farmers,” Gupta said.

CNH Industrial manufactures New Holland tractors at its plant at Greater Noida, while Case IH Austoft sugarcane harvesters are manufactured at the company’s plant at Pune.

The company provides equipment financing support through its financing arm, CNH Industrial Capital.

The company has a Customer Care Center available in 10 regional languages to support customers across the country.
