New Holland Agriculture, a brand of CNH Industrial and one of the world’s leading agriculture equipment brands, has delivered the second BigBaler 890Plus – large square baler along with T6070 tractor to Farm2Energy, India’s largest biomass aggregator. This new equipment was delivered to Farm2Energy’s founder Sukhbir Singh Dhaliwal and his team at their company’s premises in Bija village, in Ludhiana District, Punjab.
To enable the use of surplus crop residue for energy generation, rather than burning it in the field, New Holland Agriculture offers a complete range of equipment for harvesting, collecting and transporting biomass.
Farm2Energy has pioneered entrepreneurial ways to prevent crop residue burning, which creates serious air pollution problems. Today the company is firmly established as a bridge between landowners and biomass users.
Sandeep Gupta, Business Head of Crop Solutions at New Holland Agriculture, said: “To help farmers address the issue of pollution from crop residue burning, and to enable the use of this densified biomass as a sustainable source of energy, New Holland Agriculture offers a full range of equipment for the collection and baling of crop stubble and straw. We are delighted to have delivered this second set of equipment to Farm2Energy, which has been actively contributing to our fight against crop residue burning.”
The BigBaler 890 Plus delivers world-class collection and densification performance to provide sustainable crop residue management solutions on a large scale, with the capability to bale 100-120 acres per day and more than 4,000 acres during a paddy harvest season. This machine improves bale shape, reduces the risk of twine snapping, and works consistently well in even the hottest conditions. These virtues and other popular features, such as the gentle bale drop and easy access for maintenance, make the BigBaler 890 Plus the best in the market.
The New Holland T6070 tractor, a model in the well-proven and robust T6000 range, is distinguished by its modern styling and designed to offer the most comfortable and convenient driver experience. Powered by a 140 HP 6-cylinder engine, with a power boost function, this versatile tractor offers a maximum lift capacity of 7,864 kg and satisfies almost all farming needs.
To support farmers, New Holland Agriculture has established a dedicated customer helpline on the toll-free number. The helpline is available in Hindi, English, and eight other Indian regional languages.
