Dhanuka Agritech, India’s leading agri-input company, has signed an MoU with Bikaner-based Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agriculture University (SKRAU) to aid and promote soil management, availability of quality seeds, plant protection, better yield of crops and easy transfer of agri innovations’ benefits to the farmers.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by RG Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Agritechand Dr. Arun Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SKRAU, Bikaner.
Briefing about the collaboration, RG Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Group emphasised that agricultural knowledge, quality seeds, increasing the yield capacity of soil, water conservation in farming, and plant protection are fundamental requirements of farmers today. To enable this, the University and Dhanuka Group will work together. He also proposed to develop an ideal agricultural village through joint efforts and offered to provide scholarships, internships, and employment to the students of the university.

Dr. Prakash Singh Shekhawat, Research Director of SKRAU said that the MoU would provide further impetus to agricultural research and expansion activities. Presiding over the function organised in the ‘Vidya’ pavilion of the university, Dr. Arun Kumar said that the MoU would not only facilitate knowledge of the right medicines for plant protection but also Dhanuka Agritech would make arrangements for the availability of medicines through an outlet outside the university.
Dr. Ajit Singh Tomar, President – Research & Development, Dhanuka Agritech said that the MoU would enable Dhanuka Group to take agricultural research and development efforts to farmers through Agriculture Science Centres (Krishi Vigyan Kendras) of the university.
On the occasion, Kamal Kumar, Advisor to Dhanuka Group, and Dr. CP Sachan, Professor (retd.), Chandrashekhar Azad Agriculture & Technology University, Kanpur shared their thoughts and termed the MoU beneficial for farmers. Dr. Subhas Chandra, Director of Communication Education, SKRAU presented a vote of thanks and said that the development of the village is directly linked to the progress in the field of agriculture. Farmers’ prosperity will ensure the village’s development.

The function was attended by the Director of National Research Centre on Seed Spices, Ajmer; and all the deans, directors, and scientists of SKRAU along with a group of farmers. A training session for agricultural input distributors was organised on the occasion, which drew 50 participants. During the training session, the scientists shared knowledge on scientific farming of lemon category fruits, spices, wheat, gram, and mustard.
Besides this, Dhanuka Group has signed a series of MoUs with institutions engaged in agricultural research, as part of its initiatives towards strengthening research and tech in the field of agriculture.
Among others, Dhanuka Group has signed MoUs with Udaipur-based Maharana Pratap Agriculture & Technology University; Jaipur-based Sai Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner, Jaipur; GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar; CCS Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar; Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Telangana; University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur; Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU), Karnal and Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, Punjab.
