Kharif crop sowing acreage crosses 704 lakh hectares, paddy sowing crosses about 166.06 lakh hectares

New Delhi: About 166.06 lakh hectares under paddy cultivation have been reported as of July 19, 2024, compared to 155.65 lakh hectares during the corresponding period of last year. The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, has released the progress of Kharif crop sowing area coverage as of July 19, 2024.

About 85.79 lakh hectares under pulse cultivation were reported compared to 70.14 lakh hectares during the corresponding period of last year.
