BRANDT, MyCarbon launch Revitalis program to boost regenerative and sustainable agriculture in Brazil

Brazil: BRANDT Brasil, a technological innovation company focused on plant physiology, bio-solutions and application technology, together with MyCarbon – a subsidiary of Minerva Foods that develops and markets carbon credits in accordance with international standards – launched the BRANDT Revitalis program, whose objective is to promote the adoption of regenerative and sustainable agriculture in the agricultural chain.

The initiative aims to engage producers to adopt regenerative practices, such as soil care, increasing biodiversity and sustainable cultivation methods, contributing to the capture and storage of carbon in the soil and reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with conventional agricultural activities. In addition to environmental gains, participants who adhere to the methodology have the opportunity to become certified to generate carbon credits, which can be sold through MyCarbon.

According to Flávio Cotrin, Director of Marketing and Technical Area at BRANDT Brasil, “Revitalis program will provide support, resources and the most innovative in biotechnology so that farmers can implement sustainable practices in their operations, aiming not only to improve productivity but also reduce the environmental impact and provide a new source of income, resulting from the sale of carbon credits.”

Regenerative agriculture and the carbon credit market are closely related, as both aim to promote more sustainable practices and mitigate climate change. This approach seeks to create more productive and resilient systems, aligned with sustainable development objectives, aiming to meet a growing demand for food production in a balanced and responsible way.

“The carbon credit market is an important ally of regenerative agriculture, as it allows producers to see value in adopting best practices in the field. The sector has the enormous challenge of ensuring food security for millions of people. Maintaining agricultural systems worldwide requires a special focus on more efficient, productive and low-emission practices. We are very pleased to be able to contribute and support producers who are engaged in promoting this great transformation,” explains Marta Giannichi, director of MyCarbon.

“With the Revitalis program, BRANDT reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability in agriculture, empowering farmers to adopt practices that benefit not only the environment but also their own operations and communities, offering a practical and effective solution to challenges environmental issues faced by the sector,” Cotrin concluded.
