Over the years, Karnataka has been taking progressive steps in agriculture sector. In the past, one such initiative, Rashtriya eMarket Services (ReMS), an online platform for agriculture commodity trade has been the core idea behind launching the e-National Agriculture Market (eNAM) in 2015 by the Central government. With the threats looming from climate change and frequent droughts, the state is promoting millets as smart food.
