Agriculture ministry invites over 1500 farmers to witness India's 75th Republic Day Parade in New Delhi
As a noteworthy addition to the guest list, the Ministry of Agriculture is inviting over 1500 farmers who are beneficiaries of various Central government schemes to watch the 75th Republic Day Parade

New Delhi: Celebrating India’s 75th Republic Day, guests from different fields will gather at Kartavya Path in New Delhi to watch the Republic Day parade. The government plans to honour several beneficiaries of the Central government schemes by inviting them to witness the momentous parade.

As a noteworthy addition to the guest list, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is inviting over 1500 farmers who are beneficiaries of various Central government schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) among other schemes to watch the 75th Republic Day Parade. As a part of this celebration, a comprehensive training session on key government initiatives like the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), M&T, National Seeds Cooperation and Per Drop More Crop, coupled with a field visit to the PUSA campus, is scheduled for the farmers on 25 January 2024, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare said in a press statement today.

On 26 January 2024, the special invitees will witness the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path. Following the parade, the farmers will gather at Subramaniam Hall, PUSA, for a special programme in the presence of Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, who will be expressing his gratitude to the farmers for their indispensable role in bolstering the economy and highlight the government’s efforts to supporting them through various schemes, the ministry further said.

Following the address, the farmers will have the opportunity for a photo session with ministers and delegates and conclude the day with lunch. This celebration is set to highlight the agriculture ministry’s focus towards development, recognising and appreciating the tireless efforts of the agricultural community, the ministry added.
